okay but like mahdi needs some credit here cuz not only was he so offended by the though of the school thinking he’s homophobic but also just accepting isak coming out like no biggie and talking about pansexuality with no judgement and also just forgiving isak for the whole fight thing because he can tell that he didn’t mean it and was upset i’m just so impressed i never liked him much but now mahdi you earned my respect god bless

skamz:

not to be overdramatic or anything but

  • jonas is literally the best
  • jonas for president
  • jonas king of everything
Kaz Brekker putting a middle finger up to the idea that a disability defines an individual (via inejjghafas)
You’re not weak because you can’t read. You’re weak because you’re afraid of people seeing your weakness. You’re letting shame decide who you are.

demigodsavvy:

Honestly Rick gets way to much sh*t. So what if he keeps writing in the PJO universe. Who cares if he makes corny references and his styles changed since the first series. It’s his world, and his books and no ones making you read them. But what does matter is the effort he makes to ensure diversity amongst his characters. As his books progress, so does his inclusion of races, sexuality, and genders. After all these books are aimed at children. Being exposed to these strong, diverse heroes is so important. Rick might always keep Percy around, but he sure does write a hero for everyone

hynpos:

so my birthday is a week away (october 2) and i was wondering if people would check out my literature blog @lnejghaffa because it would be super cool to get to 1k but i’m still over 100 away ://

Mental Hospital AU

nerdgirl4563:

Just think about it

  • Baz tries to commit suicide, and his family doesn’t know what to do, so they send him to a mental hospital
  • When he gets there, he meets boy named Simon Snow who experiences intense hallucinations
  • He’s convinced he’s magical
  • And that he has dragon wings and a tail
  • Simon tries to talk to him
  • But Baz totally blows him off
  • Baz spends all of his time alone
  • Sulking and feeling sorry for himself
  • Until Snow comes back, and begins to pester him
  • Because he knows that Baz is very lonely
  • And that he needs someone to talk to
  • And everyone else thinks that Simon is a lunatic
  • Finally, Baz gives in
  • They sit together at lunch
  • And they talk
  • And they talk
  • And they talk
  • And BAz realizes that maybe
  • Just maybe
  • He does need someone to talk to
  • Slowly, they become friends
  • They confide in each other
  • And they find the support that they’ve both been lacking
  • Suddenly, Baz doesn’t feel sad all the time
  • He laughs
  • He feels happy around Snow
  • And one day
  • Baz leans in and kisses him
  • And it’s like the world has caught on fire
  • In a good way, of course

I don’t know, should I write this?

Well, the thing about great fictional characters from literature, and the reason that they’re constantly turned into characters in movies, is that they completely speak to what makes people human.
